Signio volumes edging towards pre-Covid levels

Confirmed financed deals of vehicles through Lightstone’s Signio platform are showing signs of recovering to pre-Covid levels.

In 2019 the monthly average of these financed sales was around 24 800 deals, of which 33% were classified as new and 67% as used. In 2020 this monthly average number dropped to 17 200 as pandemic restrictions affected economic activity, but by the end of 2022 the average had recovered to 22 000 deals per month, 30% new and 70% used.

Over the first five months in 2023, average financed sales recorded through Signio amounted to 20 700 deals per month. This is 5% down compared to January-May 2022, but 9% up on the same window in 2021.

In terms of the average number of deals for each dealership per month, May 2023 has produced an average of 10 new financed deals per dealership, and 12.2 used deals. New deals per dealership are up on May 2022 (9.9 deals), but used deals are down on May 2022 (13.2).
